YO-Kai Are Why!

It’s here... the perfect Pokemon clone is here. It’s YO-Kai Watch! (Level-5 for 3DS) In YO-Kai Watch, you play as Nate, who’s life changes after he encounters the YO-Kai butler Whisper, who gives Nate the YO-Kai Watch, allowing Nate to see all the YO-Kai hiding around, as well as call some with YO-Kai Medals, in which you get them by befriending other YO-Kai. There are some pretty cool YO-Kai like the cheeky cat Jibanyan, the legendary Noko, and the lonely country YO-Kai, Komasan. Did you know? The types of YO-Kai are personality traits, giving people they stand by their feelings. You can team up your YO-Kai buddies and battle others. The game is based on the anime, which you can check out on Disney XD. The game comes out on November 6th, with more games along the way, most in Japan for now. Overall, YO-Kai Watch makes a good parallel to Pokemon and if you like Pokemon, but can’t afford it, then YO-Kai Watch for the Nintendo 3DS is for you. That’s all for this month! PLAY FRESH!!!

Dan: Splat! Splat! Splat! SPLATOON IS HERE!!!! It’s a pretty unique game, as well as Nintendo’s first team shooter. (HEY, NOBODY CARES wABOUT COMPARING IT TO TEAM FORTRESS 2!) The objective of the game is, well, it’s a team shooter. But instead

of killing others, you have to cover turf with your ink. What’s more unique is that there are cool characters matc

hing the the

me. Meet the Inklings, human beings that can transfor

m into squids. There is a story mode, which involves a war against Octarians, which are anthropomorphic

octopi. Led by Captain Cuttlefish, it’s up to YOU (yes, you) to stop them and get the G

reat Zapfish! There are unique bosses in story mode. On the other hand it has good

graphics, impressive story, and it’s just darn fun! Also, amiibo. Tap amiibo to get cool challenges and unlock new gear! You can get cool gear and weapons to improve your ink arsenal. Updates! The Squid Sisters, Callie and Marie, give you new updates. And Splatfests!

Monthly events involving polls based on favorite stuff like Cats vs. Dogs, Marshmallows vs. Hot Dogs, heck, even a Transformers-themed Splatfest happened! Hopefully, this will get you a jump-start on Splatoon, squid kids! See you next month, and as Callie and Marie would say, STAAAY FRESH!!!

Stamati: Super Smash Bros. for Wii U is definitely the best Super Smash Bros game, and possibly the best game on the Wii U. For those of you who don’t know Super Smash Bros is a fighting game that stars all your favorite Nintendo characters. They duke it out until they blow the other character off the screen, BOOM! Speaking of which, lets talk about some of the characters. Some of them

are characters that are very well known, Like Mario, Kirby, Pikachu, and Donkey Kong. But others are not as well known, like Marth, Ness, and The Wii fit trainer. Also, Miis! You get to play as your Mii characters in 3 different styles, Brawler, Swordfighter and Gunner! There are also characters from other companies like Pacman, Megaman, and Sonic. My personal favorite is Jigglypuff. Next there is the soundtrack. There are a lot of remakes of classic songs, like Mega Man 2 Medley from Mega Man, Gourmet Race from Kirby, and Victory Road from Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire. And they also made some original music, like Trophy Rush and PictoChat. There are a couple new modes, like Smash Tour, Master and Crazy Orders, the previously mentioned Trophy Rush, and the best mode, 8-PLAYER SMASH!!!! This mode allows you to play with up to 8 PEOPLE at the same time. Finally the online. It is A LOT better than online in Brawl. You can also do tourneys! The reason why this game is a lot better than the previous versions of smash bros, is that there is a lot of variety, there are over 50 characters, over 400 songs, and a lot of DLC (downloadable content) yet to come. That’s all, and remember to keep calm, and SETTLE IT IN SMASH!!!!

LEGO Joins the Toys-to-Life Business!

Just recently, Lego got into the toys-to-life business with LEGO Dimensions, (Warner Bros. Interactive for PS4, PS3, X360, XONE, Wii U) joining the battle against Skylanders and Disney Infinity! If you don’t know the game, you build stuff... You build them physically, put it on the base, and vice versa!  With this set, you build a structure in the real physical world and it appears in the video game as a playable location.  The toy characters are in the game!

One thing I know about this game is that there’s building. LOTS OF BUILDING. It’s kind of tiring, but who cares? However, here’s the fun part. The game has all your favorite LEGO themes, from DC Comics to the Lego Movie to Doctor Who to Portal and a bunch more! You can use expansion packs to improve the experience and make the game more fun! The portal is unique, allowing you to do anything with the LEGO figures like solving color puzzles with the figures being a color, growing and shrinking, along with  possessing elemental abilities. The starter pack and comes with a base to build and Batman, Gandalf, and Wyldstyle figures as well as the game. That’s all you need to know about LEGO Dimensions. Try it and you might like it. That’s all for this month! STAY FRESH!!!!
