Bleeker’s annual Math Casino Night took place on January
21st and was another great experience for students to hang out and
play fun games. Among the casino-style math games were Left Right Center,
Are You Smarter than a Fifth Grader, 21, Wheel of Fortune, Dominoes, Bingo,
Sudoku and more. The cafeteria was packed with people playing games and having fun. While playing,if you won a round, you were awarded a ticket and at the end of the night, all ticket holders were entered into a raffle where you won prizes. There was also a jelly bean contest where you had to guess how many jelly beans there were in a jar. Several students were also rewarded for high scores in a nationwide math contest. Almost all the math teachers attended and dozens of Bleeker students. “It was fun. The best game was ‘21’ because you could win the most tickets from it,” said seventh grader Angelo Delgado.
