Student Opinions: The State Test

As part of our May article, students were asked to give their opinions on which was hardest, the Math state test or the ELA state test?

Here are some of their responses:

7^th grader Jaeda Rivera said, “Math [was harder] because there’s too much work.”

8^th grader Steve Lin, agreed and added, “Math because you have to show too much work.”

6^th grader Lucas Chavez stated, “The ELA test [was harder], because of the essays and the short responses.”

Results:

6^TH GRADE - ELA state test was hardest.

7^TH GRADE - MATH state test was hardest.

8^TH GRADE – MATH state test was hardest.
